Memory leak when using Tinderbox on 14" M1 MacBook Pro

Exactly, that’s why I still can’t understand what’s wrong than…

You have 16GB of physical RAM, but your computer automatically swaps most of this to disk. When you need to refer to that chunk of memory, it’s reloaded into physical RAM, and something else is swapped out.

So, in practice, you have lots more space than you think you have.

For what it’s worth, I just ran the Tinderbox Notes file, familiar to the backstage crew, for about 14 hours. No significant leakage was observed.

I wonder: might you be short of free disk space?

Sorry, just got your reply. No, I am not short of free disk space. Usually I have at least 80-100 Gb free. But I observe this rapid increase of RAM consumption since I started using Tinderbox one year ago. So I just close completely TBX every 4-5 days.

We did find a small memory leak when parsing conditional expressions. This should be addressed in the next update.
