Superscripts in html export

Further to @_Bill’s point on sub-/super-script characters, these are actually Unicode characters. Wikipedia has a useful summary: Unicode subscripts and superscripts - Wikipedia.

It’s not entirely clear to me whether, when writing 13C, the superscript should be regarded as semantic or presentational. But yes, we ought to export superscripts and subscripts to HTML.

I’ve got a nasty upper respiratory infection that is not COVID (phew!), but will get to this soon.

Thank you very much, Bill and Mark A., for your suggestions. And thank you, Mark B., for looking into the possibility of adding HTML export for sub/superscript in Tinderbox.

On a related note, I have only been using Tinderbox since version 7, but I’ve been amazed by how many new features are added in each new update. In my experience, that’s quite rare, even in the world of artisan software.

I wish Mark B to get better soon, and good luck to Pete for his surgery.

Best regards,
Enrico
