Tutorial re User Attributes

Tutorial p37 says to create new user attribute, click on action button (gear) and choose New Attribute from the pulldown menu.

I cannot locate the gear, so neither New Attribute or a pulldown menu.

And what is a “string attribute”?

In recent versions of the macOS the gearwheel icon has changed to the ‘hmamberger’ icon. Works the same way:

You can also create new UA by entering names in the $DisplayedAttributes popup
