Of course! Drag a link out from the “link widget” — the downward-pointing arrow beneath the note — and drag it to its destination. Or, of the destination isn’t handy, drag it to the parking space in the upper right hand corner, locate the destination, and drag it from the parking space to the destination.
Or, make a text link by selecting text in the text pane and dragging from the text pane parking space to the destination. Or, if the destination isn’t handy, drag it from the text pane parking space to the main parking space, as above.
There are other ways, but that should give you a good start.
Thank you, but I tried dragging a link from the widget to the note but that automatically creates a new note which I don’t always need. I just want to add a link between existing notes.
Could you further illustrate what’s going on? Because if you drag the “link widget”— the downward-pointing arrow beneath a note onto another note, it should normally show you the dialog box for creating a link to that target note.
Maybe you’re dragging it just next to your target note, like to its side and you’re missing it a bit. This would mean you’re dragging it onto an empty space the background of the map thus creating a new note. Try to drag and release it more generally on top the body of your target node and see what happens.
If you drag a link to the background of the map, Tinderbox creates a new note and links it. If you drag a link to the body of a note, Tinderbox creates a link to that note. (The destination note’s body is the shaded area — the part that’s visible when the note is not selected.
Yes; that was it. Thank you!
Got it now. Thank you!
