aTbRef baselines on new domain, please update bookmarks

Server Outage 4 Sep: my apologies to all. My virtual server had an outage of about 2 hours yesterday. My apologies to anyone unable to use the resources during that time.

All 10 aTbRef baselines are now ported to atbref.com. The same content remains on the old domain but any redirect links (in the red header banner on pages in old baselines) in content on both domains will re-direct you to https://atbref.com/atbref10/index.html (the current baseline, on the new domain). I’ll leave the ‘old’ domain’s content up for a few months to let search engines catch up.

If you have any bookmarks, you simply need to replace acrobatfaq.com with atbref.com. This also applies to the folders of images, demos, etc. relating to but not part of aTbRef, e.g. the tb_demos folder. The same applies if you find an old link in the forum, emails, etc.

Though I tried to keep paths (URLs) stable release to release, this proved harder than imagined with a static site output based on a TBX that had to change. For most pages in baselines 6 through 9, simply changing the aTbRef number should uffice, e.g. /atbref6/ to /atbref9/ will likely get you the same v6 page in the v9 site. But, no promises.

For those who haven’t discovered or tried the search built in since v9.5 baseline—it is there in the quicklinks at top/bottom of every page—do give it a try. It is remarkably good at finding things close to the search terms but perhaps not using it directly. The sitemap is still offered and for those who remember page titles it is still useful.

I haven’t updated the original TBXs on old baselines but importing each baseline, I’ve done a lot of regex work to replace occurrences of acrobatfaq.com with atbref.com. So, for instance, using atbref5 baseline on the new domain should keep you on that domain. If you do spot any links moving you to content on the old domain—i.e. a link I missed, please report them.

Otherwise, fingers crossed, the house move to the new domain is complete.

†. v2.3.4 tbx, v4.5.0 atbref45, v4.6.0 atbref46, v5.0.0 atbref5, v6.0.0 atbref6, v7.0.0 atbref7, v8.0.0 atbref8, v9.0.0 atbref9, v9.5.0 atbref95, v10.0.0 atbref10.

‡. The search code library is not my work and acknowledgements of the sources used are given on the bottom of the search page.

I’m getting a 403 Forbidden error. Will try again in a bit just in case it’s a temporary situation.

OK, atbref.com had no index page so I’ve duped the re-direct page until I have a chance to write something. All http URL calls should auto direct to an https page.

The URL https://atbref.com/atfbref10/index.html has a typo: ‘atfbref10’. I’ll fix that in the post above. Thanks for spotting this. Dyslexia rules KO!
