For some reason, your email is bouncing. It never rains but it pours.

  1. Press and hold SHIFT when double-clicking the Tinderbox App, or when clicking it in the dock. This will tell macOS you don’t want to reopen the current document.
  2. That should get you back in business.
  3. If possible, send me a copy of the document that hangs.

Thank you for your help, but the Apple multicolore wheel goes on spinning whatever I do.

Email me the hang long?

Unfortunately, the Tbx file I used to export my Obsidian .md notes was not yet saved at the time I used it and I did not have time to save it before it suddenly crashed. Even some appropriate erasements using EasyFind did not solve the problem. Is there any way to access to the content of a file by using a specific command? Or, is there a special repertory — such ~/Library/Containers/Tinderbox — I should explore to solve it?

Finally, I had to restore entirely my Mac… Tinderbox, now, works, but I don’t know why: the Tbx icon has completely disappeared, as you can see below:

That’s usually a sign of a damaged icon cache.

Indeed, I’ve been increasingly suspicious since yesterday that something is wrong in your macOS installation. This has the feel of a damaged disk — what does Disk First Aid say? — or even defective memory…

It appears that everything is OK to my Disk First Aid.
