Background colour of the 'text' pane

I am trying to change the background color of the ‘text pane’ to white.

I had selected the ‘Modern’ in document settings. But, this has not changed the background colour of the ‘text pane’.

It must be simple to change the background but, I am going in circles. Appreciate any tips.

Thanks

You’re looking for $TextBackgroundColor.

@eastgate Thank you!

It was that: I was in map view (‘Modern’ theme). When any of the note is selected the ‘text pane’ goes to being black/dark grey.

I note from the original screen grab you’re either using OS Dark mode (or dynamic mode switching). The suggested default scheme for OS Dark mode is ‘Dark Coral’, see here.

@eastgate may correct me here but the Tinderbox ‘color scheme’ system pre-dates OS dark/lite modes and so only stores one colour per setting. Thus a setting for $TextBackgroundColor intended for use in OS Light mode may not be ideal in OS Dark mode, and vic-versa. So, if you prefer to work in OS dark mode, ‘Modern’ may not be your ideal choice of scheme for new TBXs.

@mwra

Yes, I am using dark mode - this explains!

Thank you!
