I am just coming back from Tinderbox after a long break. I have some old docs from 2003 that included Chinese characters, but they are showing up as gibberish now.
Does anyone have any ideas about how to recover the Chinese text?
I realize that this is more of a character-encoding issue than a Tinderbox-specific issue, but I thought someone might be able to help.
Ooh! I think in 2003 we were using WorldScript for Chinese support, Unicode not then being available to use. WorldScript in turn depended on your having installed Chinese fonts. You’ll likely remember this song and dance from the old days.
If you can find the fonts you used, that’s likely to help.
