As the topic is composite, I’d just like to mention a minor issue…
From the rare discussions on the board, it seems fair to suggest that composites are an occasional but not mainstream feature for most users. I could of course be wrong, but that’s the impression I get.
Yet the default in new files for NeverComposite is false, rather than true; so I find that I have to change it over almost every time – usually after I’ve just created several unwanted composites by clumsy clicking. I know I can use and should use starter files more often, but wouldn’t it make more sense to have the default respect the more common state (of composites not happening unless the user explicitly wants them?)
