Custom attributes with non-latin names

I’ve tested creating custom attributes with Cyrillic characters. In Document Inspector, creating a user attribute with a non-Latin name is not a problem.
But in Displayed Attributes menu it’s not possible to add or select such an attribute with keyboard (switching keyboard layout doesn’t work). Nevertheless attribute can be selected manually from menu. But it is more time consuming.
Is it possible to make a non-Latin keyboard layout work in Displayed Attributes menu?
