It would be very useful if note pane text could be highlighted in some distinct way (e.g., when CMD+OPT is depressed when the note text pane has focus). Even better, while that text is highlighted, provide a me mechanism that would allow the source of the link to the text to somehow be displayed.
Having linked the text highlighted provide context to the text and its note that is otherwise not present.
I think a few words got missed out here. It’s not too clear to what you are referring.
When you opt+tab to cycle view/text/Displayed Attributes, the UI section with focus flashes a blue border (though macOS12.1 seems to kill the view pane border for some reason—it used to work!).
The Links panel (Cmd+7) shows in an outbound links.
