Incorrect character rendering in Document Setting (⌘-8)

The Swedish characters åÅäÄöÖ are not rendered correctly in the heading of the Document Setting (⌘-8) pane. The Tinderbox file name is “Om åäöÅÄÖ.tbx” and is rendered as

Aha! I’m confident that this will be fixed in the next update.

Sorry to say that the heading can still not render Swedish ÅÄÖåäö characters correctly. Using rel 9.1.0(b542)

I think the confusion is in the use of the word ‘heading’. Checking in 9.1.0, a note named “Om åäöÅÄÖ” renders correctly in view and text panes. A file named “Om åäöÅÄÖ.tbx” renders correctly. The string “Om åäöÅÄÖ” renders correctly as a heading in $Text.

However, I can confirm that it is the title of Document Settings is not using the correct encoding. Hard to check in macOS 12.x as the Doc Setting dialog can’t be re-sized and the title is shown truncated unless you hover the cursor over the dialog’s title text. In this the latter inelegant method (hiding the title) is new to more recent macOS frameworks rather than design intent in Tinderbox itself.
