A number of people have noted that the forum has started sending them notifications for threads that turn out to be really old. It’s not due to a configuration change made by the site’s maintainers but I suspect may be a side effect of the board’s Discourse software being updated.
So don’t be surprised by such notifications and the site moderators are looking into it.
