1. If that was not clear: I was only concerned with how the Find Bar works – never Agents or anything else

2. Never thought the way Find Bar currently works should be replaced. Adding an optional Google-style search to the Find Bar was exactly what I meant here:

An “Exact Phrase” option, that can be toggled is, how f.e. the Preview app in macOS deals with this issue. Hidden behind the little dropdown arrow next to the search icon.

3. Regarding your points on convincing you, I think the request sits nicely in your second category

Your alternative approach makes things easy which are now possible only with difficulty, and the things it makes easy are important things to lots of Tinderbox users.

– of course I don’t know what you consider a lot of users. But you may want to consider the following: Extrapolating from the responses in this thread, many (if not most) users do not precisely know how the Find Bar works. If they did, I’d for sure expect a lot of users to agree on the importance of having a Find Bar with both the Google-style and the current implementation.
