This 5Cs Tinderbox lesson was inspired by Tim Nevits’s (@LittleHouse75) Tinderbox Forum post Links and Single Page HTML Export. Tim was looking to find a way for Tinderbox to export a collection of Tinderbox notes as a standalone HTML file and for any internally linked notes (a.k.a., internal link or fragment identifier) within this file to navigate the file rather than attempting to link out to an external file. In other words, he needed to find a way to cover the anchor tags from an external link to an internal ID element anchor. Luckily, with Tinderbox action code, this is quite easy to do. In this lesson, I used Tinderbox action code within templates to transform the note names into HTML id elements and anchor links into internal anchor links. I also used action code to produce a simple draft versioning workflow (note: in other lessons, I have an advanced draft versioning workflow).
