TBX + Claude Code + OmniFocus = Project Planning Madness

With Claude Code connected to Tinderbox and OmniFocus via MCP, my planning sessions are captured in both, with overview, notes, and maps in TBX and action items in OmniFocus.

The experience is like having an assistant taking notes, organizing them, and presenting them for review. So all I have to do is brainstorm, ask Claude questions, answer Claude’s questions, and come up with solutions. I get to stay in the conversation while tasks are listed and ordered in the background, notes are populated, and maps of the emerging structure are formed.

Here’s what came out of a recent discussion about a lightweight interface to a database. All items were Claude-created.

Useful for me, but also as a reference for Claude Code in future sessions.

For OmniFocus I’m using OmnifocusMCP but there other connectors to OF and plenty of connectors to other to-do list apps. And of course this works with Claude Desktop as well as Claude Code.

Any other adventures in MCP integrations taking place?

Very nice!

Have you considered using Expand Notes Horizontally in Tinderbox for automatic note sizing?

Only after I saw your note, thanks!
