I’m running Tinderbox 10.1.2 (b710), and have noticed that clicking the “Timeline” button in the toolbar causes Tinderbox to lock up, requiring a force quit. This is a capture from a new Tinderbox file. I clicked View → Show Toolbar, and then Timeline.
All other views work as expected.
I’m on a Mac Studio running Sequoia 15.5.
I can confirm this behavior. This seems to happen when no notes have a $StartDate and/or $EndDate.
I’ll take a look, but of course if no notes have a $StartDate, hilarity is likely to ensue.
Oh, without a doubt. I’d have been fine with some weirdness, but having the app lock up is a bit annoying. Thanks for giving it a look! 
Sure, but it is VERY common to select a container that has a mixed set of notes. In the previous versions, the notes without dates would line up along the left of the screen, without the app hanging up.
