Timeline view of only the notes in a container

At the root level, I have several notes. Then I have a container note at the root level. This container has 4 notes with $Appointment attribute (date and time).

I only want to view the notes in this container with appointments in Timeline view (rather than all notes being displayed). Is this possible?

Thank you!

Sorted the problem. It had not worked because I had $Appointment and not a $StartDate. Once I had a $StartDate, it worked. I also note you can select which attribute would represent the start date.

The fonts in the Timeline look very small. Will find which attribute controls the font size in Timeline

Glad you’ve sorted that problem.

For clarity, a new document opens with 2 tabs that use two different views out of the eleven different views offered by Tinderbox. Some views, like Map or Table can only show the contents a single container. Others, like Outline, Treemap or Timeline can show the contents of multiple containers. To understand which are which you should read the linked to set of articles.

When you make a new tab, it is essentially an exact copy of the then-current tab and the new tab is selected. Depending on the scope and view type needed you can can drill down (so the scope is lower than root) or rise up (by using the breadcrumb bar) to set the correct scope for you new view. Then you can use the View menu or right-click the tab to select a different view type. See more on the Timeline view.

As far as I am aware the Timeline view content uses a fixed font size (likey 14pt).

@mwra Thank you! You have very kindly clarified all the points! I now feel confident in using the core power of tbx - amazing software and great community!
