Our scheduled guest speaker, Jacob, could not make it today—his talk on Tinderbox and AI has been pushed to March 28. In today’s meetup, we had a lively discussion. We reviewed, 1) an update from Detlef, 2) discussed dynamically creating attribute suggested values with action code, 3) got an update from Bruce on his book, and 4) the use Becker’s $OnVisit strategy for extensive file performance optimization. Becker also reviewed the Tinderbox installer strategy he’s been working on and demonstrated the interoperability between his foundational template, dynamic linking library, and dynamic list building template and library. Michael also reviewed using macros to surgically insert dynamic lists within a note from any part of his Tinderbox documents, e.g., inserting a list into the introduction, creating drafts, and publishing to MS Word through Pandoc .We also drilled in on how the Tinderbox parser works as well.
