When I click on that link, this is what I see:

In 2025, is anyone going to click on that? Has anyone? What happened?

This is bizarre. I won’t be able to make the meetup, so I’ll watch the video. But no way am I clicking on that “Download” link.

The prominence of The Sovereign Individual in their marketing is a bit alarming. Perhaps I am over-reacting.

@berstein, in what context? I’d be curious to understanding you thinking here.

I’m confused, which link?

The link in your post to learn about AnyType. It takes you to a site that looks like the screenshot I uploaded.

I’m disinclined to click on anything. Hover over it, and you don’t get a URL, so it’s some Javascript thing going on, and I didn’t feel like opening the console and trying to figure it out.

I can’t imagine who they think they’re marketing to with that UX. Not me, obviously.

Got it, I understand. Site renders just fine on my computer and phone. Huh.

It looks like it breaks if there’s something blocking cdn.usefathom.com. In my case PiHole is blocking that domain, as the root domain is a “website analytics platform”. It’s unfortunate that the anytype.io site is dependent on pulling javascript from there such that without that javascript the site is effectively broken.
