Tinderbox AI and error messages
Debugging an unusually confounding export problem. Key lessons:

  • beware of agents that match everything, especially if they set the prototype of the matched note
  • beware of characters such as ‹ - Single Left-Pointing Angle Quotation Mark (U+2039); the difference between < and ‹ is nearly invisible in a context like an HTML where you are expecting one, but the user has typed the other.
