Earlier today, during the Meetup, I steered us off track by expressing my frustration with using AirDrop to transfer photos from my phone to my computer. Takes way too long, especially for videos. I couldn’t figure out an easy way to transfer files with a wired connection except through my computer’s Photo app. I posted the problem on Apple Community and quickly learned about Image Capture, an Apple program I didn’t know about. Turns out this program will detect devices and allow you to pick an export path, completing bypassing iPhoto. Works like a dream! Just FYI.
