Is it possible to do so as of 9.1 ?
Not at present; will be added.
Thanks !!
Is the feature to turn off links in Timeline view added by now?
Seemingly not: see Link visualisation. Per that note, it appears the Timeline view over Certainly, and I double-checked in v10.0.1. A link type I’d set (see Links Inspector) to not be visible does indeed still show. (@eastgate, am I missing a setting?).
At this point, it sounds like a user with the need might want to make a feature suggestion to Eastgate† ( tinderbox@eastgate.com). My sense is a boolean at timeline container level, ought to offer a simple cut out, but I’m not well versed in the detail here. Or, simply to honour per-link visibility. Now the subject has been raised, it does seem odd that maps allow per-link-type visibility and timelines do not. Given the issue has never been raised before (and Timeline’s been in Tinderbox since v5.6.0, the status quo may be an unintended design outcome.
†. Inevitably someone asks, why isn’t a question here enough? Two reasons. firstly, this is user-to-user forum and Eastgate staff may post here but this is not Tinderbox’s formal tech support. Secondly, desired changes often come with side-effects: unseen complications, conflicts with other features, etc. An email allows the requester to clarify their need (the ‘use case’) and to discuss any side issues that arise: the developer’s task is often inversely proportional in complexity to the apparent simplicity of the request
The third — and most common reason — is that defining the feature request properly sometimes requires a good deal of specialized and tedious discussion of cases that are really unlikely to interest most readers of the forum, and may require looking at actual data that shouldn’t be published.
I think that Timeline forgot to hide links that are not visible; I’ll check.
