Watched Files Disappear

  1. I have created a TBX to test “watched files” as I have not used this feature before.
  2. I have created successful “watches” for two markdown/text “archive” folders generated by “The Archive,’ my primary note-taker.
  3. I saved the TBX.
  4. When I re-opened the TBX, it was empty. That is, the name I had given to it still worked, but when opened, the map and outline views were empty and “untitled.”

Please advise

That’s odd! I presume that the contents of those folders was unchanged?

Yes! As an additional test, I created one of the watched files in an experimental TBX with a few pre-existing notes. I saved the TBX, then reopened it. Files were gone, both pre-existing and watched. I am running the latest version of TBX on a MacBook Air with the latest operating system.

Perhaps you could wrap up the sample watch folder and the test document into a zip file, and upload them here? That would make it simpler to figure out what’s wrong.

Zip files are ready. How to send them to you.

email tinderbox@eastgate.com, or I believe you can upload them here.
