What kind of computing power best for large TBX documents?

I want to pick up a used mac, and I’m wondering if anyone has an opinion as to what spec would be most relevant to the computer’s ability to handle large TBX documents smoothly.

Would it be RAM (8 vs. 16 GB), hard drive speed, processor type (various iterations of i5, i7)? I’m thinking that the difference between a 2.2 GHz and 2.8 GHz speed wouldn’t be that significant. Thanks to anyone who has thoughts on this.

The common wisdom is that the most important thing is a fast SSD drive.

Having more cores in your processor is a Good Thing, too.

How large is your large document?

Not so big right now – a few hundred notes. But I anticipate it could grow exponentially. Thanks for the suggestions.
