I want to widen the popup $Name field in map view, when you enter a new note.
What is the name of the attribute I need?
Thanks
Tom
Never mind… I found it.. $Width for anyone looking
Tom
For clarity, you can’t actually widen the box directly, but as you’ve found, making the shape of the note’s map icon wider, this means the title ($Name) edit box auto expands to fit.
If you have a large screen and the text pane is quite wide, another trick is to start typing in the map icon then click into the title field at the top of the text pane and continue typing their. Why start in the map? Because this shifts a new note from ‘untitled’ (auto-deletable) state to a titled not albeit incomplete. Otherwise, when clicking into the attest pane and only the ‘untitled’ label, the map note the untitled note and deletes it! Side note: the latter might not occur is things like an OnAdd have already altered other note attributes from their default state.
Thanks Mark, I do not see this, where is it.
Tom
Where is the Map Icon MarkA refers so, I see where MarkB points to the Text Title, but I do not see the map icon?
Aoory, v. busy earlier. My point wasn’t t o be obtuse as you question was perfectly fair. But I don’t think there is a settled term for the thing-on-a-Map-that-represents-a-note and which is unambiguous to wider understanding. No fault there, but perhaps a poverty of overall nomenclature. ![]()
