Hi, All; I’ve had several requests to offer a Tinderbox 101 training course. So, I’m going to offer a 6-week Tinderbox 101 Course starting next week, Nov. 2nd.

Dates: Friday, Nov. 1 to Friday, Dec. 6
Time: 6:30 to 8:00 AM PST (90 minutes; total lecture time: 9 hours)
Fee: $499.00 (10% discount for meetup regulars and my Patreon supporters: $450—I’ll offer a 35% discount and email support for those who cannot attend live)
Capacity: 5 live students (2 of 5 spots left) + 5 video recording only + email support (4 of 5 spots left)
Requirement: You must have a licensed copy of Tinderbox (preferably 10.0.1), use macOS.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the 5Cs of the Knowledge Management Framework
  • Develop a rudimentary understanding of the languages of computing
  • Effectively use Tinderbox to think and contribute
  • Identify and integrate other tools for thought in your workflow

Lecture Schedule
Week 1: 5Cs of Knowledgement Management and Tinderbox Fundamentals
Week 2: Organizing, Collecting, and Curating Your Thoughts
Week 3: Working with Action Code and Media Files (Images, Video, Audio, PDFs)
Week 4: Working with Agents and Functions
Week 5: Working with Export Code and Templates
Week 6: Getting Your Work Out (basic export) and Working with 3rd Party Apps

What You’ll Get:

  • Initmeent personalize training on each of the key Tinderbox weekly concepts
  • Tips and tricks for using Tinderbox standalone and alongside related apps and utilities
  • A suggested project that you can work on throughout the course, e.g., we’ll work toward your ability to collect insights and output an article/chapter
  • The code samples we work on in the course
  • The course video recording and transcript for each class
  • Response to your specific questions during the live discussion
  • Email support

Note:

  • Billing: I’ll invoice via QuickBooks—you can pay with a credit card, Venmo, or PayPal

Hi Susan, thanks for reaching out. The course is at 6:30 AM; that way, we can all participate and then get on with our work day. What timezone are you in? If you are on the West Coast, we’d love it if you could start the day with us. :slight_smile: If not, there is the option of joining the recording-only version of the course ($295). You can tell me what you want to accomplish, and I’ll do my best to meet your needs. After each course, you’ll receive the mp4 file and any test files we worked on. I really hope you can join one way or another. If note, I’m sure we’ll do it again at some point. :slight_smile:
