In this Tinderbox meetup, we started off by discussing a general concept of notes and high-level ideas of working with AI. Then we jumped into an engaging conversation driven by Philipp Kuster. Philipp introduced a model context protocol (MCP) Tinderbox Server, which he has produced. This server acts, along with other MCP servers, as an interface between Tinderbox and Claude AI. Philipp demonstrated how he can, through prompts in Claude, have Claude create notes in the inbox, link the notes, and assign attribute values (e.g., prototypes and colors). It is early days, but MCP servers will play a crucial role in powering personal AI and the non-human Internet, as well as, as demonstrated by Philipp, helping us control our apps and work with our personal information.
